He is such a funny comedian, full of intelligence and soul that he can make the strangest topics appealing. Whether Hart is fabricating events or actually saying them with purely real honesty, it works and it works well. What the film does right, like I said, is conduct things on a personal level. Some of the stories seem fabricated, yet I can't say for sure. We get many stories about Hart's father, who he claims was a big drug addict during the early years of his life. Still, it would've been nice to see Hart open up more and share his opinions. This makes the film work on a more personal level. He usually stays in the are of sex and his childhood. Hart tackles a small range of subjects, unlike Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy who seemed to broaden their horizons more. To repeat it many, many more times is like assuring the audience got the joke. The line was low-brow but still sort of worked the first time he said it.

Like his 'pineapples' line that he says when he is having uncomfortable sex. What ultimately happens is he repeats to many jokes that weren't funny the first time. In Laugh at My Pain he does a fair to decent job trying to keep the flow going. It seemed he wanted to accomplish more in that special. It seemed he was more committed with that than Laugh at My Pain. Kevin Hart: Seriously Funny was more amusing. The twenty minutes the drab, useless skit takes up could've been used for more of Hart's witty comedy.

Kevin Hart doesn't seem to get that's what people want. Both films featured two very honest, funny comedians doing what they do best stand up. What gave me so much pleasure while watching Eddie Murphy Raw and Martin Lawrence Live: Runteldat? The standup routine. Kevin Hart: Laugh at My Pain is a ninety-minute comedy special that is only about sixty minutes comedy and thirty minutes flashbacks and skit. If Eddie Griffin, Martin Lawrence, and Eddie Murphy can make a successful theatrical special, Hart should get his turn at the mic too. It was inevitable that Kevin Hart would eventually garner enough notoriety to get a theatrical comedy special.

I recommend this movie to people who are into there stand-up comedies starring Kevin Hart, talking about various family topics. Like a lot of comedians, they seem to get type-casted in the early stage of there careers so I would like to see him do more serious roles in the near future. His other projects like About Last Night and Think Like A Man also show the annoying side of Kevin Harts comedy but he wasn't that bad in Grudge Match. Watchable! Round-Up: Ride Along, starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, could have been a much better movie if Kevin Hart didn't have verbal diarrhoea throughout the movie. In all, it's not a bad watch but I have seen better. This particular performance deals with various personal family issues which were quite funny but not as amusing as Delirious or Raw. I'm not a massive fan of Kevin Hart's movies because he does become slightly annoying after a while, but his stand-up is much better. I liked the way the DVD was compiled because there is footage of Kevin Hart visiting his old town and there's a little Reservoir Dogs tribute near the end which was quite funny. Review: Some of the sketches were funny but it was the greatest stand-up performance.
